Tools needed:

T25 Torx Bit and driver extension, stubby Phillips screw driver (other option is a 7mm or 9/32
socket and 1/4" ratcheting wrench), wire strippers and crimpers

Jeep Liberty 2002 - 2007 Dash Speaker removal and installation



Warning! Do not attempt to remove dash without
following ALL INSTRUCTIONS. Damage will occur.

The dash trim is hooked under the "A" pillar covers and
cannot be removed without removing pillar covers first.






1) Remove 2 cover plugs from both the drivers side and
passenger side A-Pillars.


2) Using a T-25 Torx bit, loosen A-Pillar security screws
and remove pillar cover. (Some resourceful Jeepers have
reported using a flat head screw driver to undo these)


Repeat for other side of Jeep before proceeding






Set these aside and save all removed parts.








**This image shows the tab locked under the A-Pillar in
the Liberty. This will not allow you to remove the dash
without removing the A-pillar covers first.






3)Pry up on dash cover near window and release spring
clips retaining the panel.



4) Lift up and remove cover. Set in a safe place.






5)  Using the stubby screw driver or optional 7mm or  9/32
socket and wrench, loosen and remove two screws from
each speaker.







6) Disconnect white plug. It is attached inside the speaker
socket and can be pried loose for more slack.

will need to be spliced in line with your new
speaker set*





7) Reinstall Jeep tweeters by connecting white plug and
tightening down the 2 screws per speaker. Reinstall
upper dash cover and pillar covers in reverse order.
